A Lockheed Constellation flies over New York City in 1953. The Connie was one of the first pressurized airliners to see widespread service. Beginning in 1946, TWA offered transatlantic flights from New York to Paris, and by 1957, Connies were making the trip from Los Angeles to London, about 5,420 miles, in about 20 hours.

That is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and elegant aircraft to ever take to the skies. In fact, I’m going to start a challenge with you, dude. A competition to post the most beautiful and elegant aircraft ever made.

Prepare to go down, ttyymmnn.

Interesting. How effective was it in detecting bad guys?

Kinja'd!!!1

It was part of the Igloo White electronic battlefield, tracking trucks on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

It was effective in tracking bad guys, but, if they are willing to keep taking the punishment.....

Well, you know the rest

Before becoming a pilot, my father started as a mechanic on Constellation and Super Constellation. Needless to say we have a whole bunch of memorabilia at home lol
